The coin celebrates the Year of the Pig, the twelfth and final animal in the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar. In Chinese culture, the pig represents wealth, honesty, good fortune, and peace. The reverse artwork beautifully captures this peaceful nature, depicting a domestic sow alongside her four piglets in a stylized rural setting, completed with the Chinese character for "pig" (猪).
