Lighthouse Matrix 2x2 cardboard coin holders/coin flips (also branded under their German name, Leuchtturm) are a industry standard for protecting and organising coin collections. Made from sturdy cardboard with clear, chemical-softener-free windows, they provide an archival-safe barrier that prevents direct handling while remaining fully writable for easy labelling. No matter the size of the coin stored inside the 2x2 (from a tiny 17.5 mm 1c piece to a large 39.5 mm crown), the external dimensions remain a perfectly uniform 50 x 50 mm matrix block These are part of the Lighthouse MATRIX coin holder system with the 2x2 holders structurally designed to integrate seamlessly into the wider, modular storage ecosystem including :
- Matrix Slip-in Panels: designed to hold exactly 12 Matrix coin holders per page in a perfect, uniform grid.
- Matrix Albums: Binders for storing the Matrix Sheets
- Matrix Boxes: Interlocking storage cases where the coin flips sit perfectly flush against one another
