1986 £2 United Kingdom Commonwealth Games Coin

Brilliant Uncirculated Commemorative Coin

To commemorate the XIIIth Commonwealth Games, held in Scotland, this coin is the first issued in Britain to mark a sporting event.

The reverse, designed by Norman Sillman, features a thistle encircled by a laurel wreath superimposed on St Andrew's Cross. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf.
