Following the outstanding success of the first Dreaming releases in 2009, the Mint proudly presents this 2010 silver proof coin depicting Indigenous designer Darryl Bellotti’s unique interpretations of well-known Australian animals. 

The coin’s reverse depicts a unique interpretation of a Platypus, an extraordinary egg-laying mammal that lives in and around freshwater lakes and streams. The designs for the three-year Dreaming Series have been created by Darryl Bellotti, The Perth Mint’s Indigenous artist.
